QB Ah Mu looked fantastic on that TD but (have to nitpick something) telegraphed a few that could've been picked. Overall the WRs looked much better (both have good size and speed) than I expected/hoped.
NOW that is not the story line I took from this one: For the first time since that Cale Garrett guy (who is having a stellar college career at MU) roamed the field I saw the "fist" defense coach Gray used to fashion. Barring injury #18 LB Mordecai has to be among the elite defenders in all MO. He was absolutely devastating as was that huge DL #97 Hampton kid.
Here is another tidbit from this one: I wondered what the Dogs would have for a PK. No more..............hit a 45-yard FG plus had good KOs.
Overall I know Harrisonville is very young and basically starting over BUT Kearney looked, overall, like a MATURE football team. Next week will be a whole other deal but, as I suspected, KTown FB 2018 (again barring those unforeseen injuries etc.) is back and in a big, big way.

Did I forget to mention #34. As I stated pre-season he is among the best RBs Kearney has ever produced and did he ever show that tonight! He is the one remaining starter from the 2016 loss in Springfield to Harrisonville and played with quite the chip on his shoulder...............what a major season awaits this kid.
Kearney looked very good tonight. Harrisonville has some work to do. Hope all the Kearney fans had an enjoyable time. On to next week.

The atmosphere there is always great win or lose. I think Kearney fans have lots of reason to celebrate tonight but it is ONE game. As I said before next week is a whole other world (that Northland machine aka Staley) so no time to rest on anything! Harrisonville is very young..............as I said on another site they are playing on the house this year. Back in 2010 I saw Helias come in and dominate week 1 too...........we all know how that season turned out.

Last year if you told Webb fans we could win a game against Camdenton or the game against Ladue about 90% would rather beat Camdenton than get another big trophy
I have news for you Although I know you guys treat besting Webb like you just won a Super Bowl, Karnee is just another team to play for Webb. Carthage, Neosho, Carl Junction we have been playing for 100 years and those games matter, you guys not at all

You NEVER, EVER, EVER see me downing any program/kids. When Webb was down and lost to Harrisonville in 2016 did you read me "gloat"? I am far, far more mature than that. That being said as I get older I am growing less and less tolerant of BS. And virtually all webbies not named RHCF, webbpa, hsmaniac, stealth, wc3peat and 1 or 2 others who don't seem to post here anymore (all of whom I respect tremendously and love chatting with) are full of it and just use this site to troll and trash everyone not named Webb City. You all make your community look bad. 2014-15 was the game changer for me. I used to even sit in your section and interact with several of the more knowledgeable webbies...............no more. Uhh. He was sharing his thoughts on a game versus Harrisonville. Everyone knew Harrisonville would struggle and Kearney just got on them hard. Not following your logic.
Kearney play's Platte County, Smithville, Harrisonville and a bunch of other teams infinitely more compelling to us over here in Kansas City.

Kearney did have a good night on both sides of the ball and special teams! I know Harrisonville is extremely young and I am sure they will get better as they gain experience under the lights.
But WOW! Harrisonville does put on a great Friday night show! That announcer is the best I have ever heard and even though they were getting rolled on the field their fans were still very classy!
And the stands were full until the game was over.

Harrisonville has an AMAZING football atmosphere. Great facilities! Im glad that the fans stayed classy. While I haven't had any issues, I've read several posts on here that Harrisonville fans haven't always been the best. Particularly to visiting fans.

One really good point (forget who said it on here) is you can find bad "fans" in any school/town if you look hard enough. In my opinion when you have a tradition like HVille does you've earned bragging rights. Going back to 2016 at the end of the title game I was extremely proud of both sides: When you get that far all the kids etc. deserve utmost respect and everyone stood and clapped/cheered for both teams. Moments like those, win or lose, are what this sport is all about!
At Harrisonville since everyone has to sit on the same side it just can get a little testy. I would think eventually they would put up a decent set of bleachers on the east side
