35 students and in the final-4...

I always look forward to the class 1-2-3 final-four week.
We have schools from little towns and villages that many
have never heard off with enrollments that won't fill up a
standard sized school bus.
Prairie Home, located between Jamestown, Lupus & Lone Elm
in Cooper County not far from Miz-Zou Arena has 35 students
in high school and only 6 girls on the basketball team. They often
competed with less than 5 on the floor.
South Iron with 87 students is making their first trip to the final-four.
Mercer with 72 was here a few years back and left a top-notch
player, Sierra Michaelis at Miz-Zou.
With a student body of only 81 Walnut Grove is a regular at
the big dance, with girls & boys too..
When the small schools come they bring everybody with a pulse and
they are loud n proud with all sporting school colors and their vehicles
lettered with white shoe-polish. Visit any small class final-four town this weekend
and you will see the store windows decorated in support...

This could possibly be the last Columbia final-four in the Hearnes &
Miz-Zou Arena.
Make this a memorable and rewarding experience...

It's amazing what Prairie Home has been able to do. They have two of the best class one girls in state, an above average role player, and then a former cheerleader, freshmen, and a girl who hasn't played basketball the last two years. Hats off to Coach Armontrout for what he has been able to do. As a former educator there, I can say I'm extremely proud of what they have accomplished. Good luck at state girls.

I just looked thru the large drawer filled with special final-four & other T's
from over the years...
Some special memories and colors of all shades... .. .Cya in CoMoTown.
