Webb capitalizes on a blocked 54 yard field goal attempt and punches it in at the other end. PAT wide left.

Carthage tried a 54 yd fg with 0.7 seconds left ..Webb blocked it ...ran it back to the 10 with no time left but got tackled by the facemask so they got an untimed down from the 5 . For some reason went for it and scored

Webb got away with a pretty blatant shove after the whistle setting up a blocked field goal which was returned about 60 yards with clock at 0 but carthage called for a penalty on the tackle. Webb gets it in by inches on the free play but kick misses. Wild finish to the half with webb up 13-7.

Starting to look how I feared. Penalties forcing carthage to pass, carthage passing has been atrocious and they are stating to look like they've given up. Really needed to score on that last drive but a lazy punt gave webb great position!

havent been following much this year but thought this was supposed to be Carthage’s year. Ive certainly seen better Carthage football. Webb looked ok tonight. Too many penalties. Nice to see nothings changed.

WC has made a few mistakes but I think they have played great tonight. One of the better efforts in years IMO.

Twitter says he took a swing at a Carthage player. More importantly I don't understand why he is risking his basketball scholarship playing football.

I honestly think he's a better fb player than basketball. He doesn't get to showcase it much in Webb's offense but he's a stud

I honestly think he's a better fb player than basketball. He doesn't get to showcase it much in Webb's offense but he's a stud

I think he is a better DB and could play at the next level but it sure sounds like he is locked in on basketball.

Not to nitpick, but the kid carries the team on his back EVERY SINGLE GAME. It’s not even close versus Joplin or Webb without him. I’d forgive him a short punt or two.

Yea he was gassed. Carthage needs to find some way to take some of the load off of him. Kids a stud but he can only do so much

Carlton Is awesome. He got most of his yds after contact . His big runs were all cut back runs . He exposed Webb's backside defense and /or over persuit .,..that being said ....Webb played really well tonight . Had a ton of penalties and that hurt them but overall they played about as well as well as they could have

Webb played lights out and beat a great team with ease . Only gripe is Webb had probably 150 yds in penalties. But overall . Wow! They definitely came to play . Good luck class 4

I think its only the first half next week, he made a great run for the TD and the Carthage player got right up in his grill in the endzone and he did swing his arm to push him away. Looked like a natural reaction to what happened, but you can't lose control or you get tossed. Kabala and Weathers in the backfield are fun to watch and Carthage QB looks like he could play for Mizzou, D1 somewhere.

Carthage was absolutely murdered by penalties but I think you can credit some of that to Webb's defense which as expected was lights out. Not allowing carthage to cash in the blocked punt and go up 2 scores was huge and then the goofy sequence of events leading up to the extra score going into half set a tone not in carthages favor. Webb had plenty of penalties of their own as well but managed to overcome them.

I still like carthage to do some damage in post season but this was not a great showing by the tigers. They did not play like the #3 team in class 5 by a long shot. Webb city on the other hand played much more solid than I expected at least after the first few possessions!

Yea a few years ago young man from Seneca skipped his senior year of football and people were dogging him.

I think having a 5 million dollar signing bonus waiting with the Dodgers after graduation made it a good call in that case
