2nd half predictions?

I say the Birds play right around .500 post ASB...What say you?

Right after the break the Pirates hit the road and the Cards have a ton of home games so we should stay in first or close. If we don't get another hitter, and I think it will be difficult to trade for one, .500 is as good as we will do.

Tuivailala becomes an important piece of the puzzle. Tui, Walden, Siegrist, Rosie. Give Siegrist and Rosie more rest.

Marco comes back and saves me from ever having to watch Lyons or Cooney again.

Eventually we will get to watch Piscotty play.
Some of us will continue to wonder why they never gave Greg Garcia a few starts.

I was scared to death when they said he would be pitching again but he did quite well. His stuff may not frighten anybody but it was good enough to get McCutcheon out. That's something others can't seem to do.

I'm waiting until the trade deadline, but this was the best team in baseball for the 1st half and have some of their walking wounded returning so for me it is a matter of winning the division or winning a world series. MO usually helps the team at the trade deadline and if he does that this year we will win it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Birds

One bat might help but he can only hit 3 or 4 times a game at best. How many times will he come up in a position to do the damage you want this new bat to do? Our current 1st baseman hit 2 HR's in a game recently and we still lost in extras. It's the guys that are already here and play everyday that have to pick it up for this team to stay on top. If they don't produce this team won't stay on top no matter who they trade for.

If we add Tuivailala, Marco, and Walden to our pitching staff we are set with the best staff in baseball. Offensively, if Carp continues to hit .200 like he has the past 6 weeks we will not win the WS.
