Rankings? PotY? CotY? Which teams will be improved and which teams will sink? How will Joplin fare without Davis?

Joplin will take a step back. I think Nixa will be improved.

1st- Webb
2nd- Carthage (close 2nd)

POTY- Carlton
COTY- John Roderique

Joplin will be down but do not count them out. A lot of young talent there. Nixa and Ozark will be up at the top as well.

It will be a close conference race this year at the top. Webb has their 3 All- Conference olinemen back and Weathers. All receivers except 1. Carthage has a lot of their offense back and I think their RB position will be better this year even with the kid being a sophomore! Both teams junior classes have a ton of great talent to step in. Here’s to the first season Webb will be Class 5. Which ever teams defense can replace the talent lost will be your conference champs, district champs and State Champ.

Is it a guarantee Webb will be class 5? Of course CJ isn't good enough to take advantage of it right now.

I agree with you almost completely. Carthage class of 23 has a ton of talent coming in and Carlton and Logan are both FBS talents but I don't think it'll be enough to beat Webb's '21 class. And yes, Luke Gall is going to be an absolute stud.
What about Neosho or Willard?

Neosho’s numbers are not good (at least last year) without the numbers they won’t compete with the rest of the conference. Willard graduated a lot of special talent this year. I don’t know about their 2023 class but I think they will be middle of the pack.

Webb City will have a huge and really good o line and tight ends. Should be the best o line they have had in a long time. The offense will be pretty special . Defense is the question. I think they only return a few guys . I think safety , corner , outside linebacker, and a defensive end. will see what they throw together but with the number of players they have I'm sure it will be at least decent

Joplin's JV i think was undefeated so they may be good but I have a hard time seeing them replace Westmoreland, Tash and Davis .....unless ozark and Nixa are absolute sleepers ..it will be Webb , Carthage and Joplin 1,2, and 3 in the coc in no particular order

I would imagine Webb will pass the ball more since they return plenty of receivers plus their backup QB who was quite good at completing passes? The run game probably won't be as electric since Kabala graduated, but with a very good o-line and Weathers back they'll still be fine. Would it be safe to assume this Cardinals team won't be as loaded as last year's state champions? Of course they'll still be really good in a different way.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret about Webb City that most people don’t know. We run the ball... LIKE ALL THE DAMN TIME!

The QB situation may be interesting. Goddard throws really well but Gayman should be healthy this year and he runs the option better. They may swap back and forth .
