I don't see anything thats make me think Pham won't be sandwiched between Carp and Fowler or Fowler and Carp. Cards site has a thing with carp saying he he can hit anywhere in the lineup, not just leadoff. He said when he's hit in another spot and struggled he could tell about the time he was ready to breakout is when they switched him back to leadoff so his number there always looked better. :rolleyes:

He is a stud #1 hitter.

Per Mo:

LF = Fowler
CF = Pham
1B = Carpenter
RF = Ozuna
C = Molina
3B = Gerko
SS = Dejong
2B = Wong

Why on earth would they put Molina behind Ozuna? That has to be DeJong or Gyroko. If one shows he can't be the protection for Ozuna then swap them, but I don't see the logic behind Molina being there. If DeJong doesn't hit like he did last season he doesn't need to hold a spot on the roster.

Better hope that DeJong is ok because they don't seem to have a backup plan.

I hope this is true. This makes my heart happy
Grrrrrrrr. I know lineup construction isn't a huge deal. But sheesh. Yadi is 5 hole. No backup plan for Dejong. Having to watch Marp at 1B again (I wanted him in LF, for the record). Luke Gregorson is the closer. Not even going to joke about the beating my liver will take having to watch this bunch. Oof.

Let me just say, you are truly coming around. This rundown you just gave touched my heart. Woe is us.

I honestly believe part of the Cardinals strategy is counting on the Pirates and Reds to be awful so they can hang around .500 and con fans into believing they are contenders.
