Isaiah Williams officially one of the greatest players in Missouri state history. While flipping the bird! ICONIC picture if you ask me
That's him flipping the bird to all of his haters, LOL. Back to back POY to go along with his chsmpionship. Countdown to the "but he's classless" posts in 3,2,1....

I’m not hating on him, I will congratulate him. That’s a huge accomplishment and I do wish him the best. It sounds like he’s a decent all around kid and I hope that stays with him. Just remember that no amount of talent helped DBG, the bigger he got the worse he was. I pray Isaiah has a good head on his shoulders and a good group around him to keep him grounded.

All the more reasoning why I wish Blair Oaks and Trinity were matched up.

NO one is taking about Trinity & Blair Oaks man lol take that 3 month Mosports argument to a different Thread. We’re here to congratulate BACK TO BACK Missouri Gatorade High School Player of The Year and future Illini QB Isaiah Williams of Trinity Catholic High School.

If you’re desire is to hate on a child or argue in any way we have multiple other threads for that.

So do you say this every year when this award is announced?

I wasn’t comparing him to anyone. I was simply congratulating him on his accomplishment and wishing him the best. You are reading way more into it.
I probably am reading to much into it and honestly I feel like I’m being a little bit of the PC police but it just seemed odd to throw that in. It’s like congratulating Lamar’s Coach Bailey on his accomplishments and reminding him at the same time that Art Briles once coached high school and is a piece of shit, but you’ll pray that he’s a good guy?

I see what you’re saying, but that honestly wasn’t my intention at all. They meantioned how everyone would call him classless and I simply wanted to say that I wasn’t one of those people. I’ve heard from several people that he’s a good kid. He got caught flipping someone off. Do I think that’s right?? No, but I have 3 kids and know they are far from perfect. Im not going to base my opinion of him from one pic. I thru the DBG thing in because unfortunately you see things like that happen a lot in all levels of every sport.
I will say this though, I agree that things like that shouldn’t be done. I certainly don’t condone it. Boys will be boys and I know they will do things like that, but had that been my kid I would be talking to him.

I have talked to Williams on many occasions and have a good relationship with him even though I believe he made a mistake in the championship game with giving the middle finger. (Not making this into a big deal, not calling him out, relax and keep reading if ur a trinity fan and that made u triggered). He is honestly a great person and I think he is one of the best QB’s to ever play high school football in Missouri. Hell one of the best players if you will. Just watch the kids highlights from any year and you’ll be amazed. When I’ve talked to him I asked him why he committed to Illinois and sure he gave the whole “it’s the right fit for me” speech he always says but him and I developed a relationship where he felt more comfortable to talk to me. He is kinda a shy kid in my opinion when u first meet him. Anyway, he went on to say how he wants to change the culture at Illinois and wants to make them into what they once were. You have to respect him for that when he could’ve gone to Alabama, Clemson, Ohio state, etc. Great award and well deserved. Wish him the best.

Not worthy to Tony Van Zandt's jock strap holder.
Lol Im only 28 but if I had .1% of 1 cent for every time a old head told me about Tony Van Zant I’d have a billion by now. According to everyone in St Louis he is Jim Brown with a bad knee  regardless IW will go down as a Missouri state legend. I mean winning 1 GPOY is ridiculously hard and he has 2.

How long does Illinois let him try qb?
Well because he’s probably in the 160’s-170’s right now, he’ll almost certainly be a redshirt guy at QB. Gives him a year to develop physically and learn the scheme. But after that year and then spring ball, they will know and HE will know if he should stay at QB or not. I think he’d make a great slot corner or slot WR.

But what I will say with Kyler Murray being great you never know. Couple years back I was wayyyy of the 5’9-5’-0 QB train. Times are different now

Tony Van Zant was better. Yes, I'm a old head.
