No 2004 Class 3 semifinal was the sand game at Harrisonville. This game was at Aurora in 2003.
That night the underdog Ste. Genevieve Dragons beat the #1 ranked Duchesne Pioneers on a similar field.
What a fun game to play in. Pouring down rain all day and then seemed to pick up as the night went on. Can't believe it's been 15 years! I hope that makes some of you feel old.

Wow! Hearing these stories and looking at those fields, it reminds of a game played back in 1983.....
Not a fan of artificial turf. Artificial boobs, maybe...but not turf.
Talk about a flashback. Took me a week to get all the mud out of the locker room and the weight room since Harrisonville brought every male in the building with them. They were so freaking good.
I’ve seen many D1 players and a handful of pros play at the high school level. Michael Keck is this greatest high school football player I have ever seen. It was incredible to watch him play defense, he was like a cheat code. RIP
Smith-Cotton and Harrisonville had some fun games to watch during those early 2000s. They had a pretty dang good DT that went to KSU during those years too. He planted me a few times....
I can’t for the life of me remember his name but I think it was Zach something. He was a stud as well, started a couple years on Oline for Kstate. I don’t think he was playing yet but Ransburg was on the team within the next few years before those two graduated. Don’t think you get 3 D1 players on one team in class 3 very often
Trinity has a few on this years roster but, they were acquired by different means. The difference is that Harrisonville "smoked" their opponents with "homegrown" talent.

Yeah Kendall was a man amongst boys as well as Keck (I was on the sideline right in front of where he severely injured his knee). Ransburg was a stud as well... Bouchard was always a good family friend and a brilliant coach....even though you knew his first offensive play was going to be midline or counter, you still couldn't stop it. Mid-2000s Hville was something special...
I can't over emphasize how impressive that 33 players stat is.
It’s incredible really. No doubt they had the players and I’m sure their coach helped them get recruited a great deal. Some coaches have been known to be completely done with you the second your sr year is over
