The best swift boatable point was her telling Chelsea the night of the attack it was a branch of Al Quada that did it,,,,,then her lieing telling the public it was a violent reaction to the stupid film for days.

It is really weird that they have focused so much on Benghazi when it helps them win precisely zero marginal votes because, as the committee knows by now, they don't have any real smoking guns.
It would be a lot more interesting for them to discuss whether going to Libya was a good idea as an criticism of Obama foreign policy, but that wouldn't fit the bomb bomb bomb the whole world narrative that is taking hold in the R Presidential campaign.

I still haven't heard anybody say why the ambassador was there if he thought it was so unsafe. That was NOT his embassy which has much better security I'm sure. I also haven't heard why there was a CIA post a few blocks away. The whole thing smells of a coverup for the CIA pretty bad.
The Benghazi outpost was reported in the wsj as being cover for that sort of operation.
The hearings probably helped her with those who planned on voting for her anyways. Those looking for something different (tired of politics as usual) are even more convinced she is more of the same. There were plenty of Clinton soundbites to make campaign comercials with from the hearings that won't be helpful to her.
The hearings were going bad enough for republicans that Fox News broke away from their coverage of it to show something else while the other cable outlets stayed with it. Had it been going great for the pubs/bad for Clinton, you can bet Fox would have stayed with it for all 11 hours.
I'm not sure how being the presumptive nominee of the party that has the serious electoral advantage in the general election is a bad thing.

Rubio earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida. His J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Miami. Served 4 terms in Florida House of Representatives and was also house speaker. He is currently a sitting United States senator.

Yes, because I've heard him talk and debate multiple times. Those schools aren't exactly Ivy League, by the way.

Our current president attended Ivy league schools, some might argue how that has turned out.
Carson is probably the most intelligent candidate of all of them, but you don't like him either, so schooling must not be the deciding factor.
Carson is a skilled surgeon. Doesn't make him the smartest or most qualified presidential candidate.

I agree, I think Carson is a wonderful human being, but he lacks experience in how politics work. Based on that Cruz would make a perfect candidate, but you call him crazy.
I think VB is probably correct, you would not vote Republican no matter who the candidate is.
I don't dispute that Cruz is qualified to be president in terms of education and credentials. But you can be qualified and be crazy. Ted Cruz is the single most hated person in the entire senate by all accounts - Rs and Ds all hate him for being a grand stander who cares more about being in the headlines than doing his job.
It's difficult to think of a member of the senate in recent years who has been more hated by their own party than Cruz. He doesn't care about the R party or its policy goals. He cares about Ted Cruz.
It's one thing for someone to not be a lawyer; it's another for them to have zero experience in government.

That is actually one reason I would consider Cruz. He is not afraid to stand for what he believes. If the Rs and Ds both hate him, he must be doing something right.
He's not actually trying to accomplish anything. He isn't really fighting for what he believes in. He's just trying to make others look bad and make a ton of money in the process. He goes out of his way to sabotage his own party when they are trying to do things he ostensibly supports. That's why they all hate him. He's someone you cannot trust. You can't do business with a crazy person
He would rather be on tv than actually fighting for the causes he wants.
Cruz would be a terrible president. He doesn't get that politics is a team sport. And he is far too focused on being a right wing media sensation than on achieving his policy goals.

You mean when they did the exact opposite of what he wanted right after that and his whole party put him on blast?
That's exactly what I'm talking about. You can have not totally mainstream views for the party and still be a part of the legislative process. Rand Paul is a very good example of this - he is not at all hated by his party even though he is well out of their normal boundaries on national security and certain other issues.
There is no one in the R party in the senate who wants to work with Ted Cruz. That's incredible.
