The democrats brought two articles of impeachment against our President
1. Abuse of Power
2. Obstructing Congress

Neither of these articles are a crime of any kind. They did not bring a charge of treason or bribery at all.

Since the articles do not meet any of the requirements for impeaching a duly elected sitting president the Senate is correct to hold an initial vote on a motion to dismiss all charges after the house managers present the articles

They do NOT have to have a crime to impeach. Lindsey Graham said that during the Clinton impeachment business. How soon he forgets. I know these people have to know there is video of everything they've said in front of a camera and he said that at the mic in front of the world.

No the house can bring articles of impeachment if they don’t like the color of the presidents socks.(that’s what the democrats have done here)

The Senate can then throw them out because they don’t meet Constitutional criteria for impeaching the president
