About Trinity HS

I don’t think nwalls was going out on much of limb to say Trinity would be where they are… they probably have more college level talent on one team than anyone in state, ANY CLASS. They have 8 players on a Class 2 team with Division I or Division I-AA offers, four of which are sophomores. Three of their starting linemen are Division 1 players. They also have 20 freshmen on their roster with a ton of talent too, so I’d expect to see Trinity on this run for a while. I have coached against both Lamar and Trinity over the last 5 years and am looking forward to a great game; I won’t make any predictions but I’ll say this: Trinity is not undisciplined, unorganized and poorly coached. Coach Patterson has done a great job with this team and program. For those unfamiliar with Trinity, here is some info on those 8 DI players on this Class 2 team:

QB/DB- Williams (Soph): multiple D1 offers already, including Illinois and Mizzou. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/high...cle_4c0d3306-ac56-11e6-875a-e75718deacbb.html

Greatest speeches

"This rally, this game, is not just for the students...its for the whole town!!!! Its for the mothers, the fathers, and the STEEL WORKERS!!!! Now here is the man that is going to bring us to victory, and bring Ampipe back to what it used to be. Coach Nickerson!!!!"

That was my crowd roaring speech at the pep rally before the big Ampipe/Walnut Heights game. Everyone on here was a player, is/was a coach, and were all fans. We all have seen documentaries or movies with great pep rally, pre game, locker room, or post game speeches. That was mine. What are some of your favorite, real life speeches?

Primarily interested in the opinion of Nwalls, but others are welcome to influence the results of his favorite high school team going head to head on the gridiron this year with his biggest collegiate disappointment.

The winner gets to face Trinty for show me braggin' rights.

CJ - WC. Coaching

Three times CJ had the ball deep in the red zone on 4th down and each time decided to kick a field goal, came away with 6 points

WC has the ball 4th and long at midfield and tosses a deep one for a first down.

Quite a difference in play calling

I think CJ goes for iron fourth they probably score a couple of TD's. Don't think you are going to beat Webb kicking field goals

National Anthem in HS

I don't know if this was discussed previously and I apologize if it has but...has anyone witnessed any teams here in Missouri "protest"?
This is second hand info but apparently the entire Cardinal Ritter team knelt during the National Anthem last Friday night and then there was another "song/anthem" played that they stood for?

Obviously, it didn't affect the outcome of the game with them playing Herculaneum but that be allowed? Penalty for delay of game??

Anyone have info on this? Anyone care?

NFL and it's officiating problem....

At some point, they're going to have to do something about the lack of calls or the bumbling of them. They didn't call the obvious PI call last week late in the game on an important drive. This week it was just as obvious if not more obvious of a PI call against Philly and they threw the flag. Then picked up flag. One of the more confusing things I have seen so far this year.

And it's been one UGLY first half there in Philly.

Drop Kick for an Extra Point

Wondering about the rules for the drop kick for an extra point in Missouri. I think I know them but just checking. First, can you do it? I think you can and it would be worth 1 for an extra point and 3 for a field goal. And a rush is allowed. Is all of this correct? Is anyone using the drop kick or have they seen it in the last 10 years? Just curious. Also, could you drop kick the kickoff? Is this legal. I know you cannot punt it unless it is coming off of a safety.
