If you missed it, the first two segments on Sunday's 60 Minutes on recent research discoveries on dogs was fascinating. Using dogs for clinical trials for cancer treatment appears to be promising. I never thought about how similar dogs and human bodies are anatomically, and apparently genetically with an evolutionary "friendly gene". The genetic discoveries really blew me away. You won't be disappointed to take a half hr to watch. Good stuff!! This is why research is so important.

Just watched St. Elizabeth have a 5 point lead with a few minutes left. They missed the front end of 3 straight one and ones. Then in overtime manged 2 shots and had 10 turnovers. I don't know if I have ever seen a team crumble that bad before.

PEKIN, Ill. (AP) — An Illinois man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after being convicted of illegally giving his son an assault-style rifle he later used in a 2018 shooting that killed four people at a Waffle House in Tennessee.

A judge last May convicted Jeffrey Reinking of illegal delivery of a firearm to a person who had been treated for mental illness within the past five years.

I guess the tax payers of Florida are footing the bill for him flying all over the country doing campaign style events? He can't be using campaign funds because he has no campaign set up to collect the money. I figure that's the reason Trump declared so early so he didn't have to use his own money. Well that and he hopes being an official presidential candidate might keep him from any indictments. 😘

COVID holdover scholarships and the transfer portal are shrinking the pool dramatically. Now lower tier schools are functioning in the role of junior colleges. It makes sense to be risk averse, and so why take the higher risk on high schoolers when you can pick up a transfer?

Apparently Cooter made a couple FT's that the score keeper didn't give them. There is video of it. They played the rest of the game under protest. Instead of winning by 2 they lost in OT. Of course MSHSAA will do nothing, but this is just unacceptable.

Prep seems pretty athletic but their defense is questionable which makes sense when you look at their scores
