The Bowling Green Bobcats return with a world of hope entering the 2014
campaign. The Bobcats finished 8-4 a season ago when they scored 385
points, averaging 32 points per game, however they also gave up 24.8 points per
contest.

Head coach Jeff Gschwender will return seven starters to his high scoring
offense led by quarterback Jake Niemeyer who enters his third season calling
signals.

"We have a good senior class and a good group of leaders", commented Gschwender
who begins his third season in Bowling Green. "We have some experience
coming back on both sides of the ball. Younger athletes are working hard to
battle for starting positions."

Niemeyer(5-10 175) has as much experience as any QB in Class 2,
he has outstanding arm strength and displays an innate ability to scramble when
needed. Senior Adam Holt(5-10 175) is a talented running back with a nose for
finding the end zone. On the line all-league lineman Logan Charlton
returns.

Zach Kiel
(5-10 230) returns on the defensive line, he earned first team all Eastern
Missouri honors as a junior. Senior
linebacker Jackson Ringhausen(5-9
180) is a solid performer who will be counted on to anchor the Bobcat defense. The defense will be the question mark for the
Bobcat football team that can be good with an average defensive group and great
with a squad that improves from their 2013 effort.

"We need to prove on our pass defense and our third down defense", added
Gschwender.
