Staley still not being in Class 6. Probably the largest high school campus in the state especially after more additions coming.

Class 3 catching five (5) move-ups. Those five moving up pushed Maryville down to class 2 and it moved 3 pretty good programs out of class two and therefore out of their way.

yea even this private school points are confusing. How Is John Burroughs in Class 4 when they have a Class 2 enrollment and only have 4 Points the past 6 years 🤷‍♂️. Winfield/Elsberry was so Close to being Class 4 this year.

All private school success factor moves occur AFTER class breaks are determined. Maryville would have been in Class 2 regardless of what happened in any other class.

False. I remember hearing that too, but it's not accurate. Hence class 6 still having 32 and 2-5 all having an equal 54.

I not only heard it, I read it (and posted it here somewhere). Wouldn't be the most shocking thing MSHSAA has done to change policy mid-stream.

BTW, while perusing the 100th download of the MSHSAA manual over the years I found this:

BFE is 'officially' in SWMO. And LMAO at this map. Boone county in NEMO? Central MO extends to the Kansas border? A South Central region? The MoSports map makes more sense, and it was in jest.

Cards is correct, sort of. Maryville would have been C3. The enrollment breaks posted on the MSHSAA site are after the move ups and do not include those schools. That is why John Burroughs was moved from C3 to C4 though their enrollment is 333 even though the class breaks would have had them in C2.
The real cutoffs that determined where private schools would be placed:
Class 6 cutoff was 1319
Class 5 cutoff was 900
Class 4 cutoff was 524
Class 3 cutoff was 326
Class 2 cutoff was 205

The MSHSAA districts were established when it was created in 1926 mostly by the 5 teacher training schools at Cape, Maryville, Kirksville, Warrensburg and Springfield. MU-Rolla was used for the SC and then KC and St. Lou were seperate. That districts have changed very little since then.

I guess I am not following your reasoning. Their enrollment would have put them at #50 in class 3 but with the 5 move-ups it pushed them down to class 2. Same is true for all of the first 5 of Class 2.
